This past week Kolby and I increased our running mileage with the known fact that we would be unable to make it to the mountains for a couple weeks. We ran about 58 miles total between Monday the 5th and Sunday the 10th (our schedule is listed below). With only a month left before the event we really have to buckle down and train harder than either of us have before.
Schedule for the week of the 5th:
Monday: 60 mins ~ 7 miles in the middle do 3X3 hills (so find a hill if you can and do 80% effort up the hill) – Strength
Tuesday: Double 20 minutes and 70 minutes ~ 10 miles – Yoga
Wednesday: 70 minutes ~ 8 miles( 10 minute tempo run in the middle. End run with 5 hard hills)- Strength
Thursday: Double: 20 minutes and 70 minutes ~ 10 miles- Yoga
Saturday: 2 hr in the Catskills ~13 miles
Sunday: 1 hr run ~ 7
Currently Kolby and I are in New Jersey, and off from work. With out work getting in the way of training, we can dedicate numerous hours to hard training, and recovery. Look for a follow up post later this week about our up-coming training.
