It’s hard to believe that our event is coming up in less than three weeks. What a journey training for this event has been! Currently Kolby and I are pulling back on the level of intensity after last week’s high mileage. This week Kolby and I are training differently as I cannot make it up to the mountains during the week days, and Kolby is leading a pre-orientation trip for Clarkson’s Outing Club.
My Schedule Looks Something like this:Monday: 40 minutes at sub 7:30/mi pace Tuesday: 60 minutes & Abs Wednesday: 90 minutes Abs & Weights Thursday: 90 minutes (3X3 hills) Friday: 30-40 minutes easy Saturday: Dix Range (17 mi) Sunday: OFF
Kolby’s Schedule Looks like this:Monday: OFF Tuesday: Wright Algonquin & Iroquois- Campout Wednesday: Marcy, Haystack, Skylight- Campout Thursday: (Optional) Colden Friday: Easy hike out Saturday: Dix Range (17mi) Sunday: OFF
On Friday Kolby and I will be meeting up in the Adirondacks to prepare for one of our final training hikes. Our plan is the run/hike the Dix Range for a moderate workout, and a confidence booster. Thankfully as of right now the weather looks perfect! If you are out hiking the Dix Range make sure you say hello!
